2014 Nov 3rd - Q79

With the win in the 2014 September General Elections in New Zealand with the National Party, John Key has brought about the holding of two referendums - in 2015 and 2016 - for changing the Flag of New Zealand.
☞ The 'Silver Fern' flag, a very popular nominee in this referendum, shows a silver fern on a black background. But there has been concerns raised against the flag for giving more emphasis to the country's sports, and for resembling a pirate flag, with its black background. Another worry, raised by vexillologist Tom Burton, was that the flag, at a distance, resembled a certain infamous flag. Which flag?
☞ The flag with green, designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, is occasionally seen around in New Zealand. Give its name, and what it signifies.

[Highlight blank after arrow for the answer]
=> The Silver Fern flag was apparently similar to the Islamic State's flag - both being on black backgrounds, with light colours. The second is, the Koru flag, that has the design of a Maori koru, which is "a spiral shape based on the shape of a new unfurling silver fern frond and symbolizing new life, growth, strength and peace."
